Dylan Conrique may have just pulled off the ultimate prank on fans of The Rookie, taking a song from the series that amounts to a meme and reimagining it as a beautiful ballad.
The young actress, who plays Tamara on the procedural series, took to her personal TikTok account recently with the hysterical move, tricking fans into preparing for "the most emotional song," only to end up being serenaded with the one and only "Daddy Cop"—aka, "Cop Cuties," the viral song that has been known to haunt one member of the force in particular for quite some time.
“I just learned the most emotional song I’ve ever heard in my life,” Conrique said seriously, perfectly executing the performance with a straight face. “I learned it on piano, so I’m gonna sing it for you.”
“Be serious,” she warned everyone before placing her fingers on the keys and beginning.
She kept it together through most of the iconic lyrics, but by the end, she couldn’t hold it together, bursting into laughter on the final line.
Fans Felt Like They 'Should Have Seen It Coming,' But They 'Never' Would Have
Fans were about as stunned as Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) would have been to hear the words come out of her mouth, with one declaring, "nothing could’ve prepared me for that."
"never in my entire LIFE was i expecting that," another agreed, while someone else quipped, "You said serious? I wasn’t ready for that 😂."
"I feel like i should have seen it coming, I should have seen it coming and i didnt 😂," another admitted.
"No because I genuinely got serious until…" someone else wrote.
Fans continued to applaud Conrique's slick prank, with another telling her, "im actually lost for words rn."

It Was an 'Oscar-Worthy' Performance All Around
"Oh my gosh this gets an Oscar," one joked. "I’ve never heard something this gut wrenching before."
"damn the voice is stunning 🤩," another fan complimented, apparently unaware that the actress is also a country pop singer with nearly one million monthly listeners on Spotify.
"Please tell me this means you are gonna be in s8," others hoped, crossing their fingers for the return of Tamara, who has been notably absent since the show returned for its eighth season last month.
Naturally, fans are looking at this as a secret little sign that she's headed back to the series, but so far, her IMDb has not been beyond 2025. Here's hoping that changes soon!
